Anyone used these? If so, what type of performance did you see? Any increase in accuracy?

The sub-bases were designed to use under a sabot when shooting smokeless powder in a Savage. Normally they are not need when shooting real BP or the BP subs.

The heat created by smokeless powder would damage/destroy the sabot in a Savage type rifle and with the added thickness of the sub base that sabot would strengthened and the rifle would shoot accurately.
 
Savage actually prohibits the use of the MMP sub base. A few guys found them to be slightly useful when trying to shoot 50x40 sabots but success was spotty at best.
