A friend of mine was given an older 22 rifle, a Model 1915. I don't think there is a lot of markings on the rifle. It has a serial number in the 300's I think. Does anyone one know what this might be? A search I did made me think it might be a Stevens, maybe a "Crackshot"?

Any pictures of it?

Is it a lever-action repeater (if it is what type of magazine does it have), or is it a single shot (a falling block action)?

Is there a logo on the side of the barrel?

Which .22, short, long or long rifle?

Sounds like it might be a model 1915 from J Stevens Arms.

I found some pics of the 1915 on one of the gun 4 sale sights. It's a falling block action, single shot. It's got a big screw underneath where the barrel enters the action. From the pics I've found it's a pretty cool looking old rifle. Made by Stevens, that same looking style was called 1915 Favorite, Model 26 (I think) Crackshot. And there was ,what they called, bicycle model... or something. I've gotta go right now but will post the pics I have later.

Here are some pics of the Stevens Model 1915 Favorite. This particular rifle is in 25 caliber but it looks the same as the 22, at least to me. My friend said his rifle is missing the rear elevation ramp and has a matchstick jammed under there.
