Well I DID get to the range Sunday afternoon...Not as long as I would have liked but at least for a little while. I had forgotten how dang accurate my 629 Classic/2X Leupold combo was..I sure found out again!

Every load I tried was PLENTY accurate to take practically anything at 50yds... I stared out at 25yds to chrono the handloads and quickly check for accuracy at 25yds. Well it proved that 25yds was no test for ANY of the loads:

Now THAT'S pretty good shootin if I do say so myself! I noticed no pressure signs and velocity seemed to be WELL within what I should be so I continued to 50yds:

By the time I got to the last couple of groups I admit I was having a little trouble holding as steady as I was at the start. Those 300gr/310gr hard cast reloads were kicking pretty stout! By the time I shot this last group I had put 40 full-power loads thru the 629 and my hand was getting a little tired! I believe I am fully capiable and I KNOW the gun is, of shooting better groups at 50yds with these loads.. I going to give them another try next time! Anyway...here is the load/chrono data:

VV-N110 18.5gr 300gr A Frame
Ave Velocity 1152fps ME 883ftlb

VV-N110 18.5gr 300gr XTP
Ave velocity 1197fps ME 954ftlb

VV-N110 18.5gr 300gr Cast Performance
Ave velocity 1311fps ME 1144ftlb

VV-110 18.0gr 310gr Oregon Trail TruShot
Ave velocity 1270fps ME 1110ftlb

This was my first time to use N-110. I REALLY liked it in the .44 Rem Mag.. Not NEARLY as dirty as W296/H110...

How about a pic of your setup?

I don't HAVE a really good one... I SHOULD have taken one yesterday... Here's one form the archives...pardon the bird poop..
