Silver Leupold

I bought a T/C Encore muzzleloader today along with a 308W barrel. It came with a silver Leupold and I know they are sought after. What are they worth? Would you sell it or keep it?

I’ve never heard they were sought after. The only difference would be color and if the color doesn’t bother you keep it it’s a quality scope. Me I would prefer black

It’s a good older scope, and I guess to people that like a scope to match their stainless gun they’re sought after. Check eBay to get an idea of pricing if you want to sell it.

Yeah, if you look at what the silver and black models have sold for recently on eBay it’s clear that some guys are willing to pay more for the silver models (maybe because they are less common?). Ave on the black appears to be $200-$300. Several silvers have gone for over $400.

Personally I wouldn’t buy a silver - but apparently somebody likes them. I’d sell it.

Leupold doesn’t produce the silver models anymore and some still want them. I never saw the draw of the silver over the black myself. I’ll probably sell or trade this one and put one of my Vortex on the Encore.
