Every time I remove my barrel from the stock of my Rem 700, cleaning etc, I always wonder just how tight I should be tightening the three screws, forend screw and two screws front and rear of the trigger guard?
Should all three screws be tightened at approx the same torque or is there one that should be tighter than the others???? dd

Remington 700 specs are as follows: ( owners manual or should be available on Rems website in PDF)
Front: 55-60 inch lbs
Middle: 40-45 inch lbs
Rear: 15-20 inch lbs

Model 700 guard screw torque

SKhunter, thanks for the info. Looked it up in the Rem web site. It mentions the model 710, could not find anything on the 700. dd
