Touching / 2 different bullets!

So, I was moving my Optima from one house to another and thought I would see if it was still zeroed from last year. For fun's sake...and curiousity, I shot 2 different bullets, 290 grain Barnes T-EZ in blue sabot and Hornady XTP 300 grain, Harvester black, crush rib - both over 100 g (V) T7 2FG and CCI 209 primer. Shot is from fifty yards. I was very pleased! 1.5 high at 50 is likely close to spot on at 100- though I will verify before season. Even more pleased that both bullets essentially flew the same...gives me confidence to practice with the Hornady's and hunt with the more expensive all-copper Barnes!

That's how I do it. Zero in a group with the xtp's then switch over to the Barnes. You'll use considerably less of the Barnes that way.

At that range and even at 100 yds I noticed the same thing with these 2 bullets. And your estimate is right on
