I accidentally bought 3f, after aging on my shelf, I gave it to a friend.
2f is “recommended” for rifles.
3f is hotter, faster, and slightly more powerful.
Pistols, flash pan for flint locks.
All I know but others know more.
From my data and shooting 777 ff and Blackhorn are very close in velocity. More pressure with Blackhorn (consult experts).
Blackhorn 200 requires a closed breech but 777 does not but should be fine in closed breech systems.
Swab often, the notorious crud ring, drive accordingly, clean well after use.
Enjoy the Accura .45, best hunting ML I’ve ever owned.

So i use these for 777 loads. I measure them by volume at home and load single charges into tubes. They have rubber seals in the lid. Pour right into barrel without a funnel. These hold 2x no excuses 420gr 50cal conicals... 3x 250gr hornady pa conicals... and a bunch of primers... i think i have put 75gr 777 with room left over... probably 100gr max volume on these but i run 50gr and 75gr charges so they are perfect.

I didn't read all the posts so I don't know if it was brought up or not. CVA recommends using volumetric weight. But you can still weigh your charges for consistency. The reason they recommend by volume is that the volume to weight ration can vary from lot to lot. So with a given lot pour a couple charges at whatever weight you choose, say 100 gr by volume and weigh them - Say the average weighed amount is 78 gr then use that weight for your charges.
