Last contender .50 on Ebay was over $425. Contender in .45 on Gunbroker was $700. Both sold this year. There are many variations of the .50 muzzleloader encore. Value can be from $250 to over $600.
I'd be interested in the Encore if it's stainless Maybe a blue one What about bullets sabots Etc. Shipping is going to be expensive so figure the shipping price with the price of the guns
Had time to break down and clean the Knight MK 85 turns out that it is the 209 FPJ ignition. Excellent shape may have to shoot this one a little. Not sure how old it is but will research it and find a good load. Added some pics so if you folks see anything I need to be aware of let me know.
Guys I Apologize I didn’t realize That I don’t meet the minimum number of posts to sell on the forum. Sorry for any issues I may have caused. Thanks for all of your help and I will keep reading and learning from the posts here. I am really into small caliber traditional guns and spend a lot of time on the Traditional Muzzle Loading Forum if any of you ever visit that site also.Again my apologies.
Is there a Kit available to convert The MK 85 back to ##11 ignition. I am going to keep this gun as a backup for hunting and have several thousand #11 caps. If not I can get some of the red FPJ for the 209s and use it that way.
Hey Ron…That minimum post count is so we can get to know new members. I am satisfied with your posts and are a stand up guy. Just post six more times and you are good to go. You can get one just by saying, “Thanks.”
Thanks I appreciate it I just dont want to violate the rules. I understand why the rules are in place and appreciate the fact that they are there to protect the members here.
You may be able to get it straight from Knight. If you click on the link above it takes you to their repair kit section of the site and it is just shy of $50. It doesn't state that it is for the original No. 11 system or the 209 FPJ but I would call / email and ask them. They have always been good with me. Hope that helps.
So the family dropped off some stuff they found for the muzzle loaders today. All the original stuff that came with the guns including the original 11 percussion setup for the MK 85 and all the owners manuals.
