I have the huntsmen and i bought a breechplug from Precision Rifle.Delivery took about two weeks and ive shot BH209 with regular 209 primers out of it with no problems.

Well I solved the problem. I drilled out the primer pocket on a 45/70 cartridge to take a 209 primer. I than cut down the 45/70 case to ,31. I placed a small o ring around the shell nub and put it in the Huntsman. Works perfectly and I don’t have to look for the plastic primer holders. Now to try it at the range.

Can you post a picture?

Here are some pictures of my conversion. It uses the original breech plug.

I used the short mag brass also - when i shot BH209 in mine i could hear powder hitting the leaves in front of me - did the bullet need to be a tighter fit? I love how short & handi it is thats for sure!

The one in classified looks like a MU plug to me , Nick Allen and Busta created that .
To my knowledge Lehigh defence has never or currently doesn't make breach plugs for NEF muzzleloaders

How does the oring around the 4570 case rim seal up with the big slots in the breech plug?

It seems to seal up at the case head of the 45/70. When I shoot it I will see if there are any blowback problems. It might need a fatter o ring.
