I know this is a long shot but I need a good stock for a 32 cal TC Cherokee. Thanks
I checked on that site & he has one but the way he described it, it has the same crack in it that mine does. I'm going to shoot this one some & see how I like it. Might decide to part with it later.I'm pretty sure Scott has one at the site I mentioned, that crack is fairly common with those guns. I you every decide to sell it if be interested.
Any chance you might sell your rifle as is? Just curiousI know this is a long shot but I need a good stock for a 32 cal TC Cherokee. Thanks
I might would sell it but I would want to shoot it first to make sure the repair job holds. If it didn't I wouldn't want to sell a problem to someone else.Any chance you might sell your rifle as is? Just curious
Ok thanks, I might check into that. I like the size of this white mountain carbine & a slower twist barrel might be what I need. I don't have any idea how much one would cost do you ?You might be better off if you can get a barrel made for your rifle which has 1 in 60 inch (") or 1 in 66" twist. A barrel with a slower twist is best for shooting a ball and patch. A 1 in 48" twist or faster twist 1 in 28" barrels are best for shooting long cylindro-conoidal bullets. In the past Track of Wolf has made available drop in barrels with slow twist (1-66") for Thompson Center black powder rifles.
Let me know what happens. Thanks. I have repaired stocks for others and wouldn't see it as a problem.I might would sell it but I would want to shoot it first to make sure the repair job holds. If it didn't I wouldn't want to sell a problem to someone else.
I had a barrel made by James E Carpenter. His cell phone is 208-582-2091 and home is 208-245-3693. He made me a 1 in 70" twist barrel for my 54 cal. Great Plains BP rifle. I am very happy with his work.Ok thanks, I might check into that. I like the size of this white mountain carbine & a slower twist barrel might be what I need. Ok thanks. I ordered a longer barreled rifle yesterday. A different barrel for the WMC would still be shorter than I wanted. I'll probably put the WMC up for sale soon.I had a barrel made by James E Carpenter. His cell phone is 208-582-2091 and home is 208-245-3693. He made me a 1 in 70" twist barrel for my 54 cal. Ok, got to get a little rain before I feel safe shooting a patched ball. It's bad dry here.Let me know what happens. Thanks. I have repaired stocks for others and wouldn't see it as a problem.
