Are you a rabbit hunter, had beagles for 40 yrs sure do miss having them.. just no place to rabbit hunt around here anymore. Nothing better then hearing 4-5 dogs on a rabbit.

My dad has raised beagals for over 50 years. We used to have plenty of areas to rabbit hunt but not anymore. We have raised and trained strictly beagal-deer-dogs over the past 17-18 years now. I will put my alpha male "Spot" up against any blue tick or walker hound in my state. He is that good. And he will find a wounded deer and bark until we get to him. There is nothing like the rush of 5 beagals coming your way on a buck! Matter of fact, I missed 2 does yesterday because I haven't figured out how much to lead them with my muzzle loader shotgun yet, but I believe I do now.

Beagal hounds run rabbit and deer. Depends on how you train them. Dad has raised them over 50 years. I miss rabbit hunting with them, but atleast we still got 5 for deer. I wouldn't sell any of our dogs, but we give away puppies to good people. Dad is very curious to who gets puppies from us. There is nothing like the rush of a pack of 5 beagal hounds bringing a deer your way, best drug on the planet!
