Haven't shot Calico, my Firehawk, in 6 months.
SHAME on me...
Took her out today, and did some work at 50 yards. The load is my go to. A .45 caliber 250 grain XTP in a Harvester crush rib sabot over 70 grains of 3f Swiss.
Three shot groups, at 50 yards, were: 1 & 1/16, 3/4, and 13/16ths. All 10 shots were in 1 & 7/8ths, seven of them in 15/ 16ths, NICELY centered.
No surprises. Recoil was comfortable. Factory bead front sight and a Savage number 10 aperture rear sight.
Days like today are why she's still " Boss Hen".
