I just read some of the CVA nitride models are changing to cerakote barrel finish in 2020. Is this a step backwards?

I read that too. I was hoping they would just put cerakote over the nitride. Talk about indestructible.

This must be a plot by BPI/CVA to get me to buy the Accura .45 LR soon. That's the one you have Michiganmuzzy, right? Getting rid of the nitride barrel next year would change that idea for me real quick.

Yes, if it only came cerakoted, i would have kept saving to buy the Mountaineer.

That said, one of my Knights is cerakoted green and its not horrible. Super durable and i like the color.
