Chrono'd my 24 inch stainless, Firehawk, . 50 caliber today.
My go-to load. A 250 grain 45 XTP in a Harvester crush rib, over 70 grains of 3f Swiss Holy black. Lit it with a Remington #11. 10 shots highest velocity 1578 fps. Lowest 1570 fps.
Shame black powder is so inefficient...
Oh. 10 shots into an inch at 50 yards. Bead and aperture sights.
Love it!

8fps spread for 10 shots and all in a inch with ironsights at 50 yds. That’s Fantastic.:dance2:.

Ooh! Didn't think of that! <(;
I've really come to rethink my opinion on stainless steel muzzleloader barrels. And the 1-38 twist.
I have 3 stainless barrels, all TC's. They clean easier and faster than carbon steel and I'm finding the 1-38 to be significantly more accurate with the 250 grain 45 XTP than the 1-28. Haven't tried the 300 grain yet. These ARE light rifles...
These rifles, my Thunderhawk and Firehawk, are the easiest rifles to shoot well , that I've ever owned.
And I've owned a LOT.
