97 Front sight

Is their a replacement Fiber Optic front sight that will work in place of the original, the red in mine has faded or something but in the woods its hard to see in low light.. my gun has the folding rear sight. Wanting one with a small fiber that wont block out alot of the target

They sell the replacement fiber optic filament. You just need to know the size you want. Somebody may have a link or know the name of a company that sells it..

Not sure of the size, its not too hard to find the different filaments as a lot of archery stores sell them..

It is a standard size front sight, Easy to get but you need a pusher to get it out

It would be great if you could get the fiber optic in a light Green or yellow color. I find Green / Yellow appears first at dawn and is the last to fade away at dusk.

found a few places on the net that sell different size fiber optic filaments in different colors and sizes..might try ordering green,yellow,orange and red and see which I like best.. I know I like the green on my T/C Black Diamond pistol I made..

those may work but just really need to replace the filament, my digital caliper bit the dust so cant measure filament size to be sure size I need..

Dean, I measured the diameter of the fiber optic on my M97 with my digital caliper and it measured .0600.

Here's the only company that I'm aware of that makes different color optic front sights. I used the Green front and rear sights on my Lyman Deerstalker and love it, although I'm thinking of switching the rear sight to a peep sight.
