She's a 1951, H prefix on the serial number, 336SC .30-30. Inspite of being 72 years old, she's in marvelous shape.
Pristine ( Ballard rifled ) bore and only the most trivial finish wear/ dings.
Also, she's an unmolested waffle top!
Good trigger too.
With Winchester 150 grain Power Points she gave 3 shot 50 yard open sight groups from 3/4" to 1&1/2". For her first outing, I'm pleased.
I did have to clean all kinds of gummed/ oxidized whatever out of her. Don't believe she saw much use. No boogered screws, and even the loading gat has 90-95% finish. Her action is kinda stiff. No matter.
Gonna be looking for a good old steel aperture sight for her. Things should get scary after that...
