Who’s shooting Barnes bullets? My CVA absolutely LOVES the Expander MZ. It’ll shoot one ragged hole at 100 yards all day long. Probably is I’m about out and these are nowhere to be found on the interweb.

I’ve found some TMZs and TEZs. Question is which one of these is closest to the MZ? The MZ is a flat based bullet. The TMZ is a boat tail and the TEZ uses the the thinner sabot.

Does the MZ and TMZ use the same sabot?

I prefer the TEZ and switch out the sabot for a Harvester smooth black. That combo usually provides better accuracy for me. Harvester also sells a crushed rib sabot for the TMZ which, for some, gives better accuracy than the povided sabot which can be a bear to load in tight bores.

All 3 of my CVAs love the 250 TEZ flat base with smooth black sabots.

I’ve shot the 250 tez just to check my zero but have shot plenty of the 290 tez.
