Not a gun builder but just curious. I have a couple of half stocked muzzleloaders and the barrels are held on with wedges. I was looking at full stocked flintlocks on the net and I don't see any wedges. How are the barrels attached?  Thanks
 
Usually the only time you'll see wedges on a full stock are custom built guns like the J&S Hawken or some of the early long guns.

All these Hawken's have wedges some stand out like the Walker and Powell rifles (easier to see).​

Now that's more sensible for a black powder gun. Pins means you either have to remove the pins when cleaning or take the chance of moisture warping the stock and/or rusting the bottom of the barrel.
