Hoping the rain will hold off long enough to get the Chrony set-up and get the 45cal Disc Elites x2, out for some smoke production

I am glad you are doing well, it is good that you are shooting again.
I have been working with BH209 also, it is as amazing as it is expensive.
It tends to carbon up the breach plug on my guns and I have learned to use a .125 drill on the TC's to clean that area and to shoot the first couple into the bank before group shooting. The pressure is not as high as 777-fff or the other new powder we were working with but the pressure peak is longer. I really like it it is to bad it won't work in the Hawken and the Renagade. Lee

Lane....I can't wait for you to do the range time for me!

My Elite 45 is waiting..... 8)

OK

I'm back, And BH209 is Amazing

And remember, I'm just shooting off some folding tables I got from Wally World....

45cal SS Disc Elite with NFPJ and FPJ. 200g SST's and ShockWaves and some 180g 40cal Gold Dots. Hot and Humid, 93 degrees

Started out with 150g BH209 and took 3 shots with NFPJ
I just wanted to see if the 200g SST would be stabilized, and not keyhole.......It was stable :D 8) at 2610fps. Then my battery died on the chrony, so had to replace it :p But I only got to chrony the one shot of 150g BH209 :x

Chrony Results for 200g SST in MMP Tan Sabot with BH209, NFPJ:

200g ShockWaves------110gV, 80gW = 2223fps

90gV, 65gW = 1962fps

275g PowerBelts, FPJ, 100gV, 72gW = 1930fps

50gV, 36gW = 1504fps

300g Platinum PowerBelt, 50gV, 36gW = 1300fps

NFPJ, 36cal, 70g Round Ball in MMP 40/357cal sabot. 30gV, 21.6gW = 1282fps

Lane, if you happened to get a chance you might find a few shots with Hornady FPB quite interesting, the way they shoot with BH209 is also; they might just turn out to be my goto elk load, they are 350 gr though so they do kick a bit when you crank them up. Am anticipating using them on game have to get a hog hunt togather.Lee

150 grains BH 209

Lane
I know you were just shooting to find out the velocity, But what kind of group did you get with the 150 grains. 120 grains and an sst 200 gr. shoots really good out of my .45 extream and it starts to open up at 130. I did not go any higher but I sure am courious.
