Who is your favorite actor to portray James Bond in the movie franchise? There have been 7 men chosen to play James Bond.

I have always liked Sean Connery as James Bond. Until Timothy Dalton came along, I don't think that the Bond character had been realistically portrayed as the ruthless, amoral person that Ian Fleming had made him out to be in his books.

I think Daniel Craig has quite possibly been the best actor to play Bond, because his Bond is shown on screen to be far more human than the previous 6 actors had been allowed to portray him.

How many of the 27 Bond films have you seen? I have seen all but 6 of them, 21 in total. I have not yet seen the David Niven portrayal of Bond, the original Casino Royale film. Or, the first Timothy Dalton Bond movie, The Living Daylights. Nor, the last 4 James Bond movies as portrayed by Daniel Craig.

I was 8 years old when the first James Bond movie was released. I'm 67 now.

Sean Connery
1962---Dr. No
1963---From Russia with Love
1964---Goldfinger
1965---Thunderball
1967---You Only Live Twice
1971---Diamonds are Forever
1983---Never Say Never Again (non-Eon production)

David Niven
1967---Casino Royale (non-Eon production)

George Lazenby
1969---On Her Majesty's Secret Service

Roger Moore

1973---Live and Let Die
1974---The Man with the Golden Gun
1977---The Spy Who Loved Me
1979---Moonraker
1981---For Your Eyes Only
1983---Octopussy
1985---A View to a Kill

Timothy Dalton

1987---The Living Daylights
1989---License to Kill

Pierce Brosnan

1995---Goldeneye
1997---Tomorrow Never Dies
1999---The World is Not Enough
2002---Die Another Day

Daniel Craig

2006---Casino Royale
2008---Quantum of Solace
2012---Skyfall
2015---Spectre
2021---No Time to Die

I look forward to Daniel Craig's last 4 Bond films, as all I have seen are the numerous YouTube video clips for them.

Like anything else that spans 59 years, the James Bond movie franchise has had its fair share of less than great performances.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and Octopussy come to mind as 2 of my least favorite Bond movies.

Between Connery, Brosnan, and Craig.

I had no idea there were that many shows. As I read through them I find I have seem them all. Maybe twice. I enjoy the James Bond marathons on the holidays. Brosnan and Craig take and pass out a real a$$ whipping. Both were anti establishment and were willing to work outside of authority. In order Brosnan, Craig, Connery. But there is little room between 1st and last.

I think Sean Connery is the only James Bond. Read most of the books in 1962 and he seem to be the guy I was reading about.

I think Sean Connery is easy pick for best actor and has many fine movies to his credit beyond the Bond series.

On the other hand, I only recently watch Golden Eye and I just got a thing going for the Russian female character. Then that has alwsy been the deal with the Bond franchise. The female leads alwasy stole the show or got the male audience attention.

The "real question" is which female lead gave the hottest (or best depending on your orientation) performance. Not beauty or magazine pics, but; best on stage presence.

No, but; more likely a bad script combined with bad directing. I dont have airwave TV reception and dropped my cable TV service. Now, I crawl the web looking for content. I often search for movies based on actor/actress names. Then I find a source to view. I surprise my self how few movies I like. Most typical I get about 1/4 way in and bail out. I also found, for the cost of an online rental, I can usually buy a plastic used DVD from ebay. Then I no sooner snag a copy of Broken Trail for $3 and I see it free on YouTube. Better to not buy any content ever. Or was that Quigly Down Under? Well one or both.

Off topic, sorry.
