Does anyone here use a bore guide when loading your ML. I picked one up the other day and I feel like it helps keep the bullet aligned while going down the barrel. In addition, it protects the crown when you clean from the muzzle. The one I picked up was from TC, but I think a number of company martket them.

I use the spinjag. I don't know why T/C is promoting a bore guide when they have the Quick Load Accurizer (QLA) on the end of the barrel. There is no crown at the end of a QLA barrel.

I do use a brass bore guide when loading and cleaning.

I have a tc encore that has the qla cut off so I made myself a brass false muzzle for bullet allignment and cleaning on a lathe. The crowns are not easy to bugger up but if a guy shoves that hard aluminium ramrod with the grooves cut in it in the bore a lot over time it can be done. Especially if you clean after every shot . Easy to make and very effective . I use it at the range not in the field

I always use one with my traditional flint and percussion rifles. I don't use one with my Omega and its QLA muzzle. I need to get one for my Savage 10ML II...
