CVA Scout 450BM SML Conversion

Is a Scout 450BM a viable candidate for a SML conversion? Other than a slower twist rate than the Scout 45-70 it would seem the 450BM's .452 bullet diameter would make it a good choice. What am I missing?

I think I figured it out. The land diameter of the 450BM is .442. I think I have answered my own question.

If you had one inch of the barrel muzzle cut off and the muzzle re crowned then you could have a full form sizer die and shoot .451/.452 bullets.

the other thing to consider is, if you decide on shooting saboted .40 cal loads you won't be able to with the .452 barrel
