Friday was the last day of ML season. Late in the afternoon I shot a doe for the freezer at 190yds with 420gr pure lead cast 40 over 52grW BH209. Bullet expanded upon entrance hitting a rib bone and blew a 2.5” exit hole.
When we were breaking camp, my buddy wanted to try to shoot past 200.
We put a bucket and lid at 354yds (rangefinder), I told him the moa, he laid on the ground with my rifle rested gun in his backpack and touched one off.
I could see the hole thru my spotting scope. He wondered if it was luck, so I told him to load it and shoot again- this time I caught it with my phone video thru the spotting scope - he put it 3” left of the 1st. Not bad for a guy who never shot a gun past 200.
All fun on a weekend of hunting..
