Windy today but I wanted to get out and test the Ultramag! Just 50 yards off the bipod. 100gr Blackhorn209 - 200gr Hornady XTP - Harvester EZ Load sabot, Winchester W209 primers. I certainly like what I see so far! The sharp coil surprised me. I didn't expect such recoil with a tiny 200gr bullet. Blackhorn209 must really come alive with that smaller .45cal bore.

Nice group I haven't used those Winchester primers much with BH209, but perhaps I'll go back and try them with some loads that didn't work with other primers.

Jon I bet that 100 gr in the smaller bore equated out to about 120 in a 50 cal..  You keep posting those good groups I just might have to get my old Optima out and swap the 50 barrel for the 45 barrel.  I've got the old Barnes 195 and some PR Bullet 260's I could try.

The .45 bore with BH209 does seem to produce a quick ignition pressure spike.  Clyde, the 195 grain Barnes is my 200 yard  :shooter: "go-to" bullet bullet in front of 120 grains of BH209.
