So I got a .451 whitetail that I am hoping my son likes to shoot. He really isn't a shooter but if he doesn't it has a home in the next room :D . It came pretty clean and I installed a peep. It looks like the recoil lug is slightly bent, straight edge is tough to tell maybe a couple of thousands. What steps should I take? I understand bedding is recommened, I have never bedded a rifle it concerns but doesn't scare me, but time is always an issue. What other steps need to be done replace/straighten the lug??

I bought some of Ed's HP and 465's (very nice BTW) and will start playing with loads as I get more mobile after my surgery.

I'm gonna say a couple thousandths wont make a lot of difference as long as gun sits in action right and snugs up.. as far as bedding you tube is your friend there.
your going to like Eds bullets.
