In this months InFisherman magazine there is a great article on live baiting stripers. One of the guys on another forum who is more computer adept then I was able to post the pertinent info with some great diagrams. So here it is:

In Fisherman

By Don Wirth, Ralph Dallas and Fred McClintock

TACKLE AND RIGGING RIGHT

Wirth: Most novice river-striper anglers are under-gunned in the tackle department. Big stripers make amazingly powerful runs. Add swift current and submerged snags into the mix, and it's obvious you need some serious gear to deal with these fish.

Sounds like a great article R Man. I've been Live Lining for about 4 years now using live White Perch or Large Pike size shiners normally with Gamatsu 5/0 live bait hooks & P-Line CFX-Fluorocarbon Leader. Up thru both lips & out nostril is best for me. I will have to pick-up that issue to see if any good pointers are there.
