Just getting into muzzleloading, long time archer. Staring to order things up while waiting on safe ice.

Welcome. Yes, upstate NY is similar to where I grew up, the U.P. of MI. I also know what a Rook is, that was our 'Mascot' more or less back in the day. Wait for that safe ice, we had a snowmobile go through with a rider recently, he didn't make it.

Welcome to the forum! You'll find a lot of great information here. I grew up in Bayside Queens until I moved to Easton, PA in 1985. I sure do miss the hunting in NY, but I think I miss the Salt Water fishing the most.
