My 45 and 54 are Blued GM LRH barrels, and my 50 is Stainless like your 45 Cal. I don't think you can beat these GM fast twist barrels in a Hawken or Renegade stock if your preference is sidelocks and bullets. I bought a brand new (my only new Muzzleloader) Lyman Great Plains Hunter 1:32 Fast twist in .54 Cal, after some modifications it has started to Grow on me, The Lyman shoots very well! But it stil takes a backseat to my Hawken and Renegades with GM LRH barrels. The Lyman feels more Finesse to say? Where my Hawken and Renegades feel stouter, more robust

Thank you. I wished we lived closer,, but if we did our wives would miss us a lot  .
Wouldn't it be fun to be able to get together and shoot these at REAL long range on a regular basis? I know what we do. We hold our version of the "Quigley" shoot like the BPCR boys do. Ringing steel out to 1000 yards on animal targets. 8)
