I Still Like "Modern" Guns Too

Although I rarely shoot anything except muzzleloaders, I have long experience with smokeless cartridge firearms.  I don't hunt with them any longer but I do still reload and enjoy shooting them.  The .250/3000 is my hands down favorite and I own a Savage M99 and an early Ruger M77 in that caliber.  There is no way I can even begin to guess at the number of deer I've taken with those two rifles.  I've used others, of course, but those two rifles are my go-to rifles.

Here's my .250-3000. 14 deer with it to date.

Here they are in all their glory.  The Ruger will give half inch groups on demand.  The M99 can hover around an inch or a little more.

Me too. I hunted most of my life with a Winchester 94 in 30-30. Great gun for the dark timber.

I think it's 14". It holds 2 more shells in the blind magazine. My deceased neighbor made it for me.
