Well about time the snow hits all the strays and unrestrained farm dogs start to come out and wreak havoc on the local deer herd. I get so sick of watching deer run to their death being slain by these pooches. Personally I prefer to use a repeater in a centerfire caliber as many times these wayward canines tend to run in packs. What are your thoughts?

I think so! I took a tour of the property after getting back from Wi. and found 3 sets of canine prints, all about 3" across, going thru the woods. I know the neighbors dogs, and none are allowed to roam. Maybe that's why the deer seem so scarce this year....... If I don't see any during the next few days, I'll put out a few traps along with the scraps from the deer butchering and see if I can pinch a few toes.
