I wrote a little will ago about a loose spot about 8 to 10 inch down my barrel , sent it to knight they looked at it . and said it mite have ben short shot . but they was't sure. but sent a new one back to me any way. I was thinking about having the new barrel, a cryogenic treatment done to it is this worth it or not, they say it cleans better. and mit make it a shoot better, has any one tryed this with a muzzle loader or not,

In practically EVERY instance I have EVER read about...to have a barrel cryogenically treated is a waste of money. I've read article after article for years and years.... No one really has this done anymore because it just doesn't work.

What does work (my opinion) is a good break-in procedure in which the barrel if fully cleaned and oiled between each shot for the first 20 shots or so. I believe this gives you a bore that tends to foul less.
