Knight Original DISC Mountaineer Bolt

Sorry to ask a question that seems to have been answered already....but I just want to be sure it will work.

I have an original orange DISC that I want to convert to a bare primer. It seems that most people like the Lehigh primer adapter better than just using the bare primer bolt.

Other posts said the Mountaineer Bolt bare primer bolt would fit but may need some machining. Also the Mountaineer breech plug will not fit.

If this is true, Sportsman's Warehouse has a RPJ bolt for the Mountaineer at the same price. If it fits, I could use the Lehigh primer adapter and Lehigh breech plug.

My brother works at a machine shop so taking away material from the bolt should not be an issue and I have the original bolt and gun to work from.

Does this sound like the way to go?

Yes sir, it’s what i did. Didnt end up needing anything machined.
