I though I had gotten away from side-locks & percussion guns, guess not. The son is big into collecting historical arms, mostly war relics. This rifle came up on Gunbroker recently, 58 cal, haven’t received it yet.

The previous owner has never shot it, I’m not in a hurry to shoot it either. I’ve just been looking up the history about the gun. Does anyone have info to share? I suppose the rifling is slower, toward patched ball shooting?

I’ll try a picture or two.
