Latest stock refinish

Another Sako under the belt. Customer took a picture of the complete rifle and emailed it to me tonight. Pretty gun!

Sharp looking! How do you go about refininshing the fine checkering, or do you just leave it alone and work around it :?:

It gets completely stripped. I try to match the stain the best i can in the checkering but other than that, it all gets truoiled. The next stock i found a new way to refinish the checkering but actually leave it a low gloss while the rest of the stock is high gloss.
