I just got a new (to me) mold from Lee. It's the 452-160-RS. I have been casting REAL 452-200 for my .45 Kentucky rifle (1:60 twist) and my Pietta 1858 Sherrif. I may not have time to cast any til this weekend. Anyone have any experience with these bullets?

I went out and cast around 40 tonight. The short length may shoot well in my KY Rifle. And, look like they should load well in my 1858. I may try a few paper cartridges with them tomorrow.

I grabbed a couple of bullets on the way out the door this morning so I could get a pic or two. Here is the LEE 452-160-RS on the left, next to a LEE R.E.A.L. 452-200 on the right, for comparison. They are very short bullets. I'm hoping they will perform well out of the rifle. I will find that out Saturday!!!

I have the same mold, for my Ruger Old Army revolver(ROA). I have cast up some to try out but still havent got around to it yet. I have so many bullets to try out in the ROA, just gotta get to it this summer. Ive got the 160, 180, 200, and the Kaido 220 mold. I bet those 160s will shoot just fine your KY. They really aren't much bigger than a round ball, so the slow twist will probably work just fine.
