Here in Utah the Public Service Company (electric) gave those that served hard bound books of recent wars addressed to each of us that served with our name on the inside cover, its a $30 retail book. I thought that was very nice of Utah to make the effort.
I still hear our sgt. saying "look at it this way, your getting an expense paid vacation in a foreign land".

That's a hoot! I married my high school sweetheart ' cause they said you wouldn't be drafted..Jan 1966.. They said " you believe that ****? load the bus. When I got out in '67 I still wasn't even to legally old enough to buy alcohol! Mucho fun best forgotten, At least I was in a tank outfit, armored cav..Sgt Dailey Out here
