Let's see your shooting range. Go to bristolranges.com...........Once there make sure you click on the Home screen and then scroll down to the wilderness are. That's where I spend my time. There's some nice areal video's of the ranges.

First 2 pics are of the wilderness area for muzzleloaders and guns prior to 1894. The 3rd pic is of the 100 and 200 yard CF ranges.

The 4th pic is from the 130 yard bench. You put all your gear and do all your loading, no capping yet, and then go up to your bench. Once there you cap or prime and shoot.
The areal videos do the range a lot more justice........

We'll have to wait for actual pictures of the way my range is set up, but heres when I started to level it better and widen/lengthen it. 170 yards is my max range right now.

Ray, my practice areas are National Forest. I just use an official range to sight in a gun, and then just do offhand practice in the mountains.

Yeah, it's perfect for me. I love the mountains, and I don't like people around me when I shoot.

Grumpy old mountain man you know.   :pirat:

I've got a fixed bench made of PT lumber. My seat is an upside down bucket. I have a backstop of old farm equipment, mounded dirt and about a dozen bulldozed trees that's 230 yards from the bench.

I have to open a 16' wide gate and make sure the cows are off that pasture before shooting.

I have a 130 yrd range in my yard..but its covered in snow...my club has a 200 yrd range going to 300 this spring I heard....basicly the club is a no frills club...outdoors only ..not individual shooting benches...just 2 long shooting tables 25 Feet with benches...i am mostly the only one there most times..except when they have matches or skeet shoots on the week end....

they just cleared the shooting lanes for the second time this winter...there is a combat match in march...so cleared for practice...also cleared the 200 yard range ..a path to target boards and board areas...it may be a mud hole come thaw...its just 5 minutes from house...some times I ride the ATV there in warm weather...

I use the national forest range as of now, not the best but it's free.

I'm on a waiting list for a private range, guessing I can post pics in a year or two when my number comes up.....

I belong to a Gun Club, it costs me $25.00 a year for a senior membership. 100 and 200 yd rifle ranges, several handgun ranges, an indoor handgun and rimfire rifle range, trap and archery, bit it's 25 minutes away. I usually go here, 10 minutes away.

This is the best shot I have of one of our ranges.
This is the 100 yard rifle range where we hold
the monthly muzzleloading matches at the Central
Florida Pistol and Rifle Club. This is in Orlando.

There is first time a yearly fee of 260.00 for regular membership.
Annual fee is 180.00 for dues after that. We must retrain in safety
every 7 years.

There is A LOT that goes on. 3 gun, Cowboy Action, Steel, Archery, Skeet, black powder cartridge, iCORE, NRA matches, CMP shoots, and lots of others. Women's Day is April 2nd.

The longest range we have goes to 600 yards. We drive to change targets. These are shots I stole form the website.

There are a lot of ranges here. I have not shot on all of them, yet.

Where's it located, Colonel? I know it's not in Orlando. Probably some place like Cassadega or Bithlo.

This is my humble rifle range.  There are provisons for targets at 50, 78, 125, 150 and 175 yards.  Because of an old oilfield mud disposal pond that is often flooded there is no 100 yard target.

GPS sucks for getting there, but it is not hard if you know.

NOT Bithlo. South off 417. It is off Moss Park Road behind Wycliffe Bible Study. That is about 8 miles (?) south of University and 417?

It IS an Orlando address...

14646 Wewahootee Road
Orlando, FL 32832

"The club is located approximately 3 miles east and .5 miles south of the Orlando International Airport.  The following directions should get you there.  On weekends, match days, and meeting nights the gates to the club will be open.  Other times only members have the code to the gate."

But, hell, ask me and I will guide you in.

I don't want to go there. I just have never heard of one in Orlando proper. Apopka and Fort Christmas but not Orlando.
It's all marshland south of the airport towards Lake Kissimmee.

It is right next to the Orange County Sheriff's range and obstacle course.
The huge Mormon Ranch is abutted to the east. The address I gave is
what they use.

You ought to buy a membership for deer hunting on the Deseret Ranch. It's only $4000-$6000/year.
