Finally had a small window between snow storms to get some shooting in so I decided to go sight in the new peep and front sight on the LHR.

I am hoping to draw out on a HAMS hunt here in the future and decided it was time to get dialed in for shooting without a scope.

Hand gun, Archery, Muzzle loader,Shotgun hunts here in Utah are for primitive weapons which means no scopes or electronics...I’m just hoping they will still allow my inline rifle.

Anyway, not being an open sight shooter much, I felt like the groups weren’t too terrible for 100 yards.70D67B75-A4F4-404B-9EE8-F2A1135636FE.jpeg2A06D891-F859-4355-B12E-B8206336451A.jpeg7F2EC0E5-64E6-43CA-B882-30CFB9D43503.jpeg

Also realized a difference in the two breech plugs I have for this LHR. The top left group of 5 were with the plug designed for loose powder.
I switched plugs to the pellet plug, because my fired primers were sticking.

Drifted the front sight ever so slightly for windage correction and fired 5 more, bottom five. It seems there is more pressure on the primer from the loose powder plug than on the pellet plug.

Also a difference in poi height between the two plugs. All loads were the same 65 gr. by weight BH209 with 300 gr. XTP/Black Crush Rib.
