I am wanting a gun with a little more ass then a 9mm. been looking around, I decide I want a 45 acp. looking into the Rock Island armory 1911. looked up some reviews guys doing the review seemed very impress with it.

any one happen to own one? if so like your impression of it.

I cannot see why anyone will ever want to own a 9mm if there is .45 ACP's around , been using a 1911 as a SD gun for 30 years and can't find anything wrong with it .

I have a Glock 39 .45GAP & I love that gun! It is my main carry weapon. I shoot Speer Gold Dot 200 grain bullets & I don't have to worry about penetration thru seasonal heavy coats or clothing & can shoot the same bullet all year. That is not the case with my Ruger SR9C 9mm. I have warm weather ammo & cold weather ammo.

Corey if your lead is hard enough you'll never have leading issues , besides your velocity will be below 1000fps.
