mountain lion again

in a nice small village 15 miles west of me a mountain lion was shot dead by a man who saw it in his back yard after dark two evenings ago. their are just too many of them and this is becoming a weekly thing. ranchers all around me are saying all their cats are gone again. mine sleep under my small gun reloading shed. i wish the state would cull these things to lower numbers.

Is it illegal to shoot them?

when they come on your place in town or in the country, they come to eat what you raise. yes, then you can shoot them. the one in town was eating cats and dogs. they are also a great danger to kids and even adults who walk for health in the early morning as many do around here.
