For Christmas my children got together and bought me a game camera.
It's a Moultrie. I've never ever thought of buying one for myself and have often walked right by them in the gun shops without stopping to look at them. I've read the instructions several times, played with it and tried a few things. Seems to do what it says it will do. Now all I have to do is wait for next deer season. I might take it up to my cabin and set it up there to experiment with it. Now all I have to worry about is setting it up and not having it stolen :? .

You also have to worry about how long the batteries will last in the cold. :(

Now is as good a time as any! Put the camera out and see what you can get. Sure adds a new dimension to your hunting. May as well learn the thing now. Batteries are a small price to pay for all that fun!

It uses 6 D cell batteries that are supposed to last for 60 days, weather dependant. With the temperatures we're having right now, figure and hour or 2  .
