My kids have a CVA Optima v2 LR. I need to add a front sight to it for 4h shooting sports competition and hunting in Nevada. I have a friend that will correctly drill and tap the barrel if I have the sight or sight ramp to put on it. Does anyone have another CVA muzzleloader and a set of calipers to measure the barrel OD. It would be easier to order a factory sight than to make something else work. I'm wondering if maybe the LR-x or MR-x or others will have the same OD so the sight hugs the barrel correctly. Mine is .857" Thanks!

Let me check my stash tomorrow. I may have a sight set from an Accura that would work on that gun.

My Accura LR, Optima pistols, and pre-2010 Optima all measure .856” - .859” at the muzzle vs the .875” of my Omegas.
Perfect! Thank you. I should be able to just order a sight for one of those and make it work. That is exactly what I needed.

Both of my T/C (encore and omega) measure .875” also

Thanks again!

Wicked....

I checked and sorry by no sight set for anything CVA.
