Is a 300 grain Sabot bullet with 100 gr of powder to hot of a load for a .54 T/C Renegade

A .530 ball weighs about 230 grains, so a 300 grain bullet isn't too much of an increase.
I recently acquired a vintage CVA Missouri rifle 54 caliber.
Haven't spent a lot of time with it yet but so far, the 530 ball and 70 or so grains [V] of 3f Goex seemed to be a good load.
I'm just not a fan of modern saboted bullets in a traditional rifle. I'm just old fashioned, I guess.

I was using a 300 XTP or 270 Gold Dot in a .50 Renegade with 90 FFg, so that sounds about right for a .54.

Here's a load that shoots great in my 54 renegade: 250 grain hornady xtp, 100 grains black or pyrodex, Harvester 54/45 red sabot. The twist in the T/C sidelock rifles is slower - 1 in 48 and may not stabilize the 300 grain bullet.
