Finally got a break in the weather to test fire my new Knight DE 52 cal. I used the provided knight bloodlines. 100 grains volume of Black MZ. I had a left over jug. I also tried a few old 405 grain 45/70 bullets. Winchester 209s. I’m new to the whole 209 ignition system. I upgraded my FPJ to a new SSK bare BP and adapter. All and all I think everything went as planned. Accuracy was there (25 yard sight in with a new peep) just a guess at the setting. I didn’t think that I was getting any of the “crush” that I’ve read about with the closing of the bolt and seating the 209. The primers came out clean and the bolt face remained clean for the 15 total shots. I did swab the bore between shots. Damp windex/vinegar patch followed by a dry. Can you take a look at the pictures and see if you see anything that looks suspicious.
