Sights, Barrel Dia. n so on

My Under-Hammer action is 1" in diameter, my barrel is 13/16". 3/16" less than the action, trying to figure where to place rear sight? Up on the action or out on the barrel. When i put the rear sight on flat on barrel it sure sits down low for my eye trying to line it up with the front sight i layed on muzzle end.

Taller rear sight or use a spacer to lift the sight higher

You will also need a tall front sight.

I just put a Skinner brand low pro peep on one of my underhammers. Mounted on the action. I will try and post picture later.

Here’s a picture of the skinner “low pro”. All that is needed is a single 6-48 hole drilled and tapped.
