When they went bankrupt a few years back, they burned quite a few wholesalers. When they went back into business they were shunned by those same wholesalers. If you purchased sporting goods from another store during the time of the Sportsmans fiasco, you paid for their bankruptcy through higher prices due to the terrific debt they laid off on wholesalers.

When they opened a new store locally there were a few really bitter sales reps from the wholesale side of the business as they generally make their money off commision, and it comes when the dealer pays for the merchandise, not when it is ordered.
