At what distance do you intend to use one at?

I have this one and unless you're using Shoot-n-c targets, you can't see bullet holes at 500 and 600yds.

I'll make a suggestion........... Before I'd ever by another spotting scope, I'd purchase one of the cameras. Nothing is more aggravating than spending a day at the range and even with a good spotting scope, you can't see bullet holes.

I’ve been using one of these for years. Buy once - cry once. Love it!

I just checked out the link for your spotting scope, very nice. I can easily see why you love it.
When I discover how much I was missing by always having budget minded optics, it ruined me. I very quickly developed a Champaign & Caviar taste on a beer & slimjims budget. Nuthin like havin quality high end optics.

I really like the idea of a camera. Because I'd be using it primarily at the range I'd get a lot more use with it than a regular spotting scope. The price isn't all that bad either. Thanks ENCORE.Great suggestion.

Its frustrating when you shoot a lot to not be able to see bullet holes at distance. Add a little mirage and you're shooting blind. If I had it to do over again, without question I'd buy one of the camera systems, most likely the Longshot 2mi. If I could sell this Vortex right now the Longshot 2mi would get purchased.
I was putting things away at the club one day when a guy pulled out one of the 1mi camera systems. Although I didn't stick around to see any bullet holes, I did ask to see the target. I was impressed with the system.
With the cost of propellant and bullets, shooting 3 rounds at 500 or 600yds, then having to set and wait for the range to go cold, then driving down to check the target gets OLD.

If you look around right now there's a sale going on the Kowa 77 scope. I'd say check S&S archery or Cameraland NY. All the reviews say it's an awesome scope. I believe they're being discontinued because Kowa is coming out with an upgraded 66 mm scope. The sale on the 77 is a really good scope for a good price.

It mostly depends on your budget but with that said, quality is remembered long after price is forgotten.
Have a look at the Vortex Viper line. Also look at the Nikon Monarch 82 eda with the 20 to 60 eyepiece. I use my Nikon for the range and mostly for digiscoping.
