Just a random thought.
Been dabbling in a breechloader, specifically my Remington 760 .35 Remington. GREAT rifle. Accurate, reliable and fun.
But. Not as light, as accurate ( so far), or as fine handling as my Firehawk Calico.
I said when I put her together that she was the best rifle I ever had.
And a muzzleloader!
Took her out of the cabinet and gave her the once over. Snapped her to shoulder and everything was right there. Sights perfectly lined up.
She's still the my best rifle.
Life is good.

Took her out yesterday. Usual load, a 250 grain .45 XTP, Harvester crush rib sabot over 70 grains of 3f Swiss lit with a Remington #11. 1545 fps btw.
At 100 yards, my 3 shot groups were excellent! 15/16ths, 1 & 5/16ths and an inch on the dot.
Sights are the factory non fiber op bead and a Savage #10 aperture rear.
The #10s used to be on the old Model 23/25 series bolt actions. 22 Hornets etc.
Like I said. She's the best.
