Got my Rice 45 cal barrel back from blueing & on the rifle.. Named it "tick licker" from my favorite tv show when i was a kid in the 60's,, "Daniel Boone" (played by Fess Parker)... It's an 18 twist .449 bore.. ( it may be right at .450 as a .449 paper patch fits kind of tight,, sized to .448 fits perfect). Hope to shoot it by the weekend with the 500 grain buffalo arms lead cup based paper patch bullet.. The blue/black is more like chrome! it is pretty... not extremely traditional, but neither is the laminated stock.. Blueing cost $145 & the engraving another (just under $50).. by Scotty's gunsmithing in Joelton, Tn. I'll try to get a better photo outside soon as its nice & sunny!
