Why did you never fire it? I would prefer that you did and report on function and accuracy.

An unobstructed perpendicular view of the bore at muzzle and breech (with plug removed) would be helpful.

I'm not the seller but man why is that needed ? It's never been fired

It is not a 3rd party's place to interrogate me about a potential purchase, however I will answer your unrequested intrusion.

Because I bought a rifle without seeing the bore or muzzle. The bore was .020 off center (.040 TIR) at the muzzle, which I didn't mind. Then I discovered the bore at the breech was far more off center than it was at the muzzle. I have not and will not fire the rifle with a thin barrel wall at the breech. JMHO.

If I'm interested in an item and want to see anything visually accessible that's my right to ask, and the sellers right to answer or not.

WADR, exactly how does this question concern anyone but me and the potential seller?

Thank you. Sorry that my interest in the rifle has resulted in so many off topic posts littering your thread. I've still got the NIB Knight we discussed in a PM and I'm still open to trades.

Edit: congrats to you and the lucky buyer on this Vortek sale

That's why I never questioned the motives or integrity of the seller, he probably hadn't worked as a machinist for 30 years and if he didn't disassemble the gun he would never have seen the defect at the breech.
I'm certain anyone who removed the breech plug for boresighting could see 1/8" off center in the breech.
